Have you ever wondered how the future will be with Artificial Intelligence?

Well, AI is rapidly enhancing the effectiveness and productivity of communication daily.

It is widely known by many organizations and individuals worldwide, but some people who are not aware of it may want to know what it is and what it does.

AI is an improvement of computer systems which performs tasks that usually require human intelligence.

It is a multidisciplinary field which consists of various approaches such as computer vision, robotics, natural language processing, machine learning among others.

It has a long history of advancements which does not have any particular or single inventer.

Its concepts gradually evolved through the contributions of many researchers, engineers and scientists. 

In the 1950s, some early pioneers such as Alan Turing, John McCarthy, Martin Minsky, Allen Newell, John Von Newmann, Claude Shannon among others, contributed greatly to its scientific discipline. 

The term was coined around 1950s, where the scholars mentioned above, although did not create the term, but were some of the founding members of the technology behind AI.

There are several types of AI, which comes with their own characteristics and capabilities. 

Some of them are Narrow AI, General AI and Self-Aware AI. 

Narrow AI, is also known as Weak AI which performs specific tasks and operate within limited areas, but lacks the ability to perform tasks outside their designed scope.

General AI, also refers to Strong AI or Human-level AI, that possess the ability to understand, learn ans apply knowledge similar to human intelligence. 

Self-Aware AI, represents AI systems that has a sense of self-consciousness, understands their internal states and can set goals and exhibit self-reflection.

Artificial Intelligence possess several advantages, some of which are an increase productivity, efficiency and accuracy while reducing fatigue and errors.

AI help organizations to offer personalized product recommendations, while enhancing customer interaction and satisfaction. 

It can also be tasked to perform roles that are dangerous for humans with robots.

AI has its disadvantages as well. 

It fosters lack of creativity as its systems are available, easy to access and operate, which prevents people from putting much efforts where necessary.

It poses as a threat to employment, as it can  literally do everything without the need of manpower.

Lately, there is high dependency on technology which encourages laziness in some humans.

The relevance of AI presently. 

Indeed, presently AI plays a vital role, as it is highly relevant with various applications spreading globally. 

It plays crucial tasks in Healthcare, Education,  Finance, Natural Language Processing ( interaction between computers and human language), Cybersecurity, Automobiles manufacturing, Agriculture, Climate Change, Smart Home Devices et cetera.

AI has come to stay as it blends with social media, thus it keeps advancing daily which requires individuals to level up to leverage its uses.

All the researchers mentioned and their colleagues all made significant contributions to the theoretical foundations of AI and developed early AI systems, which has gradually advanced till present day.

Although AI has got various applications, and may be complicated sometimes, it is one of the best technological advancements that ever existed in the world of computing.

AI informs and educate people irrespective of locations, which adds more knowledge to what is known already and can help to predict what is yet to be discovered in the future.
